Abstract
El chontaduro (Bactris gasipaes) es una palma tropical cuyo fruto es altamente valorado por su contenido nutricional y su importancia cultural en América Latina. Este escaneo científico analiza el estado actual de la investigación sobre el chontaduro. A través de este escaneo científico, se identifican y examinan las principales tendencias de investigación relacionadas con la palma de chontaduro (Bactris gasipaes), una especie popular de la familia Arecaceae en el norte de Brasil (Neri-Numa, Soriano Sancho, Pereira, & Pastore, 2018). Conocida por sus frutos comestibles, esta palma es especialmente apreciada en Colombia, Ecuador y Perú, debido a su alto contenido nutricional, que incluye vitaminas A y C, proteínas y carbohidratos. Los frutos se consumen cocidos o en preparaciones como purés y bebidas. Además de su valor alimenticio, el chontaduro se utiliza en la producción de aceites y otros productos derivados, siendo una planta de gran importancia cultural y económica en las regiones donde se cultiva.
