Evaluación de híbridos de algodón obtenidos entre una línea androesteril común y ocho líneas restauradoras

Abstract

A partir de cruzamientos interespecíficos se han obtenido híbridos de algodón altamente productivos. Para el presente estudio se evaluaron en 1983 ocho nuevas combinaciones interespecfficas. Tres variedades de polinización abierta (Acala 1517- 75, McNair 220 y Pima S-5) y el híbrido interespecífico NX-1 conformaron los tes tigos. Economically important hybrid vigor resulting in higher lint yield has been found in some interespecific cotton hybrids. Eight new hybrids combinations, an interes- pecific hybrid check (NX-1), and three cultivara (Acala I 517-75, McNair 220, and Pima S-5) constituted the experimental material of this study.
